Top 4 Hot Springs to Visit in 2017
Although it’s great to have a ‘staycation’ and enjoy your swimming pool and hot tubs, it’s nice to get away too. America has some of the best vacation spots when it comes to natures swimming pools and Jacuzzis. Here are four of the top places to visit when you want a break from your backyard but still want to enjoy being in the water.
Travertine Hot Springs Bridgeport, California
Utah’s Diamond Fork Hot Springs
Pagosah Springs in Colorado
Umpqua Hot Springs in Oregon
There’s nothing better than kicking back and soaking in the natural waters of Travertine Hot Springs found in Bridgeport, California. After a long day of hiking the Sierra peak, relaxing your muscles is in order and the scenery is breathtaking in this location. Imagine the warmth of the water as it surrounds your skin while you gaze up at the stars that overlook the mountain’s terrain of the Sawtooth Ridge. This is an incredible location to bring the whole family.
Next, we hop on over the Utah’s Diamond Fork Hot Springs found in Springville is a place where you can explore the forest and see what else Mother Nature has in store. Even in the dead of winter, this spot will lure you in with its unique color of blue created from the earth sulfur. Not for the weak of heart or stomach however with its fabulous smell. Regardless of odor, Diamond Fork will leave your refreshed and with a ton of memories.
Pagosah is noted in the Guinness Book of World Record’s as “The World’s Deepest Geothermal Hot Spring.” For those with medical conditions, this may need a doctor’s note as the temperature of the springs levels out at 144°. This may not be a great location for those who are weak swimmers either as this natural hot tub is between 20-30 feet deep. It is, however, a beautiful place to take a loved one in need of some real rest.
Last we have Umpqua Hot Springs in Oregon. While we don’t suggest bringing the kids on this hiking trip as there are plenty of people who enjoy the springs in the buff, this is a place for those who love to sit in the lap of the forest. Surrounded by incredible trees and rock formations this natural hot tub will keep you enthralled in the total experience.
Any of these locations are terrific places for escaping the heat of Southern Florida. We know you’ll love visiting but will want to come home to your clean, comfortable to access backyard living areas once your return. On the flip side, it’s always nice to kick back in your pool and remember the incredible time you had on vacation.
