When you live in a place like Pittsburgh, dogs have Carte Blanche complete with an oasis and private swimming pool. Parks such as Lucky Paws Resort have a unique approach to spoiling their four-legged friends. In this blog, we point out some of the nation’s nicest dog parks that include swimming in their repertoire.

If you travel a bit down the A1A in South Florida, you’ll come to the Atlantic Dunes Park also known as Delray Dog Beach. There’s wide-open space with lots of room for the cute mutts to run, play and swim. Although the rip currents can be a bit intense at times, there’s nothing better than seeing the dogs run and jump into the water with such enthusiasm. This dog-friendly park is the ideal spot for residents and tourists alike.

Wagsworth Manor Pet Resort in Malvern, PA is yet another furry friend destination equipped with swimming lessons, and after your little pug or dachshund has a good little swim, he can have a full grooming including a blow dry. Super idea for animal lovers looking to give their pets a little pampering.

Deerfield Beach’s Dogstown University offers plenty of play areas for you pooch. While they don’t offer a full-size swimming pool, they do have wading pools for the dogs to splash around with their colleagues or collie whichever way you want.

The Venetian Pool in Coral Gables, Florida offers everything imaginable for both dog and owner. From the tropical waterfalls to lifeguards on duty, they aren’t playing around. At least the park people aren’t. However, this is one great pool to bring your Fido or Fifi guaranteed.

Swimming pools are a lot of fun for both people and dogs. Dogs are natural swimmers and can paddle the second they’re in water. That paddling is instinctual for them.

Regardless if you take them to the beach, a park or anywhere else there’s swimming, just remember always to keep your eye on them. Safety Alert: Dogs can drown if they become too excitable or get exhausted so never let them swim alone.

Of course, there are parks across the country that are ideal, just pick the closest one and be ready to have some pure pup entertainment.
